Bored
I'm at Beijing International Airport at the moment, waiting for my flight to New York. It's cold and boring here. I think nothing beats our Changi International Airport. There are so many cafes and eateries around. They have them here at the airport's terminal 3 as well but fewer, I think.
The whole terminal feels like a ghost town from where I'm sitting. There's a family of Caucasians? Europeans? playing at a mock playground in front of me. The two golden-haired children are lovely. I'm soooooo tempted to snap a photo of them sliding down the slide face-down as they attempt to defy gravity by struggling up the slope. LOL.
The kids sound like they're speaking French. I'm too far away to identify the language.
I've been listening to the music the airport's playing. I think CD is running its third or fourth play now. Yawn.
I hope there'll be no flight delay. I'm so bored I could die. The Internet access is only for a little over 2.5 hours, but my netbook battery can last about 2 hours before it goes flat.
I have no access to Facebook and Twitter here. What terrible misery! *glances at the time* I still have about 2.5 hours to kill before boarding time. Sigh.

A Lazy Time At Home
Home sweet home! Well, not exactly that sweet but, well, I did miss my room. Ironically, I got a stiff neck from sleeping on my own bed the first night! I must admit, the pillows and bed in my Melbourne apartment are of better quality. But, I miss looking out of the window and being able to see the sky, greenery and everything else. My apartment in Melbourne doesn't offer that because of this huge opaque glass panel which blocks off whatever view I might have (except for the sky) at the window-balcony.
I haven't been doing very much since my return three days ago. I took my H1N1 jab at my cousin's clinic on Friday evening. He looked about the same but has more white hair now at the sides. After that, I met up with Mag for dinner instead of the original timing due to an unforeseen circumstance. We had years of catching up to do since we hadn't manage to meet up very much the past three years. There were tears and laughter. It was a good time of sharing. I think if we could, we would have continued talking into the night!
The weekend has been lazy so far. Other than the time out on Friday evening, I've been enjoying the comforts of my room, watching the Korean drama, You Are Beautiful or 미남이시네요.
I finally finished watching it last night. It's really one of the better Korean dramas around and exhibits some wonderful acting chops from the cast, especially Jang Geun Seok and Park Shin Hye. It's a relatively young cast, but I was immensely impressed by the depth and variety of emotions they portrayed in their roles. I found myself chuckling uncontrollably each time JGS's Tae Kyung character called PSH's Mi Nam 'Go Mi Nam(?)' in the I'm-so-atas-and-totally-despise-you tone. It was hilarious and so cute at the same time. And, my oh my, Jung Yong Hwa was absolutely charming to watch. Even though there were criticisms about his stiff acting, I thought he wasn't too bad for a rookie actor. After all, his character Shin Woo in the drama wasn't the outgoing and cheerful sort like Jeremy (played by Lee Hong Ki who did a commendable job as well) nor the angsty Tae Kyung and definitely not like the clumsy Mi Nam-imposter. Best of all, JYH has a great singing voice. *swoons* Speaking of which, JGS sang one of my favourite jazz pieces Fly Me To the Moon while playing on the piano in one of the later episodes. *swoons again*
I think I'm going to start on Iris or 아이리스 soon. Its rating in South Korea has been steadily increasing and is now in the mid-30% range. It's been a while since I watched an action genre K-drama. Enough funny and lovey-dovey ones for now. ;P
There are some changes to my meet-ups this week. The dinner with Gina on Monday is now on Wednesday, which is a day before her birthday. Just as well. :) Tomorrow, I'll be meeting HL for lunch and maybe shopping! I hope the weather will be dry and cool (read: no hot sun and no rain).

Holiday Plans
I don't think I've actually missed home all this while, but now that I'm flying back tomorrow, I do look forward somehow to coming home. I hope to meet and catch up with some (not all since, well, the rest are overseas) of my favourite people. :) So far, I've made the following arrangements:
4/12 - Tea with Mag before she flaps off for her holiday on Saturday
6/12 - Church service (I miss this!)
7/12 - Dinner with Gina
8/12 - KTV with XR
11/12 - Dinner at Tim & Chris's
19/12 - Tea at Shyama's
I'm so looking forward to all these. And, I'm going to catch up with all my K-dramas and TVB dramas intensively! LOL! I'm such a drama freak.
Of course, I'm also looking forward to my trip to New York and Mexico. I will have to get my H1N1 jab at my cousin's clinic though. Then there's the Mexico itinerary to plan for.
Oh, I absolutely need to visit my hairstylist to get my hair straightened and cut, and then have a relaxing massage and a manicure. I miss all these! Although I'm not exactly suffering from lack of food supplies in Melbourne, I do watch what I spend. Going for haircut or hair treatments, massages and manicures and pedicures aren't exactly my priorities here. Ha. I still hope to have some 'leftover' money after my course ends in June 2010.
Well, well, well... I should return to my packing. The whole apartment is in such a mess - again! ;P
