Because I've been to all the rehearsals (so far), I kinda know the entire parade programme by heart. There were a few changes though, example the entrance of the hosts for the pre-parade segment. The climax of the entire show was of course the fireworks! Apparently, it was only 25% of what will be shown on the actual day.
Here are the pictures again. I'm not sure if I'll get to enter the floating platform again after yesterday's show because the choir teachers-in-charge have not been issued with any pass! (How infuriating!) So I'm going to post quite a lot of what I'd taken with my camera yesterday. Most performers were in their costumes. Of course, the cabinet ministers were simulated, along with the most important people at the top. Hehe. The audience was most amused, especially the primary school pupils who were sitting in the sky blue sector and behind us. Anyways, enjoy!
As usual, the Combined Schools' Choir was the first to appear on stage. (=
Adrian Pang, making his grand entrance as he sang Reach Out For the Skies
His sidekicks: Michelle Chong, Huda Ali, Ebi Shankara and Jean Danker. Don't they remind you of...

The Choir performing their first song We Will Get There together with dancers (some on wheels) doing the cha cha
The Combined Schools' Choir doing the cha cha with their maracas as they sang; and caught on screen: two girls in the 5th row look like Peiying and Mandi. I'm not sure. Is it them?
The Choir performing the second song Together with the colourfully-costumed line dancers
The Choir singing and doing a very cool dance (their favourite!) to their third number One People, One Nation, One Singapore + the Singapore Cheer with the cheerleaders
A very young but talented Nathan Hartono delivering his jazzy rendition of Where I Belong
Three paragliders about to fly over the floating platform with the national flag
My closest shot of two of them
The audience waving their flags at them when they glided over us again

Apparently, this is only 25% of what will be shown on the actual day of performance!
Audience leaving the floating platform; rehearsal for the finale continued for another hour O;
While waiting, I took this picture of the primary school pupils leaving; love the colours (;
By the time we boarded the bus, it was around 10 pm, about 30 minutes later than previous practices. The kids were quieter on the bus ride back to school this time. I guess most of them were spacing out.
Next Saturday, we have to go through the whole process again for NE Show 2. This time, we are to arrive the holding area by 1 pm; which means reporting time is an hour earlier than usual. I'm beginning to feel the strain of attending rehearsals every week; I can feel the flu lying dormant within me, waiting for the moment for an all-out attack. Thankfully, though, it has been rather enjoyable watching the show (albeit for the umpteenth time). ;p
