Trust in the Lord with all your heart

in all your ways acknowledge Him,

Take 124995: ACTION!!!
I'd dragged my decision long enough - a good three years. It's time to take action; albeit slow, nonetheless I've been doing something about it. Thank God for the June holiday.
I don't think I can stand being miserable anymore. It's too exhausting - an utter waste of energy. Especially on those who don't deserve my compassion and concern. Don't get me wrong, I harbour no anger whatsoever anymore. It's just that I've finally realised I should channel all this precious energy into my own goals in life. That said, it doesn't mean I am going to stop caring for them anymore. I will still do my part as a friend (or a teacher) but I can only help so much.
The workshop during the 3 days only served to emphasize the several decisions I'd made were right. Even if the outcome doesn't turn out well, I'm sure I will have no regrets. What's the big deal, right? I'll just move on from there.
Something impressed strongly upon me at the workshop: Failure is when there is no participation. I'd always known that... but I'd been always very paralysed by fear.
I hate that fear. You don't know how much I hate it. I've come to hate it with a passion that I'd never known. It stopped me from doing what I'd wanted to do in my younger days. No matter how much I wanted it to go away, it just kept coming back to me - each time even stronger than the previous. Perhaps it was due to the lack of parental support. But how long could I blame my parents for my present predicament? I had to hit an all-time low before something snapped in me.
------------------------------------------
The workshop which the teachers attended with the pupils was intense. Even though it was catered specially for the pupils, I think the adults (teachers and parents likewise) have learnt a great deal from it. Many laughed and cried - it was an emotional roller-coaster ride for quite a number of us.
Even though I shed no tears, I was deeply touched when I saw the pupils giving their parents and teachers a hug. Some girls came over to give me a hug and the boys a handshake to say 'thank you'. Some of my colleagues teared too. Even Jolyn.
Let's hope that the next 3.5 months will be a fruitful and meaningful one.
I'm glad I stayed when I could for the workshop (except on Thursday evening when I felt too ill). Many things happened and all these revealed a side of some of my pupils I'd never known.
Kudos to Pei Chin! I hope the pupils appreciate her even more. They have no idea the kind of stress she went through the past 3 days - especially on the first and last days.
The next step: TAKE ACTION!

Up And Running
Oh boy, am I really glad it's up and running once more. I was so miserable without it for the past few days. Without it, time seemed to be crawling. Even the things I had to do took more than double the amount of time. I had half-given up hope actually.
But like I said before in one of my blog entries, I'm quite persistent when it comes to certain crappy things. LOL.
What the heck am I talking about here?
It starts with "W". HAHHAAHAHAH...
*falls off my chair guffawing*

For The Sake Of My Sanity...
I don't care what other people will say or think really about my wanting to move out. For the sake of my sanity and safety, I'm going to do just THAT. Of course, it won't be so soon. I need the time to search for a nice place and enough money to buy it.
I don't think he will ever change. And I don't know how she can take it. To be really positive about it, it's really amazing how everything can still hold despite all the heated rows, fights and what-not.
Maybe I'm one who gives up too easily. I don't know. I'd like to think not. After all, I've persisted pretty long in certain things. Or maybe it was just that I didn't know what else to do. Whatever.
Auggy Goh came back QTSS today. His son was one-month old so he came back with some food for everyone. We talked for a short while. Even though we weren't particularly buddies with each other, he was alright. So it was kinda good to see a familiar face amidst the ever-changing staff room (coming in of new teachers and leaving of the 'old' ones). I miss Shyama. =( I called her the minute Pei Chin told me she saw her at SP at the graduation ceremony today. Really glad for her... but I miss her very badly.
I miss Vanessa too. She experienced earthquake tremors yesterday in Beijing... 3 or 4 on the Richter Scale. She said she felt the whole building sway for 5 seconds. I'm so glad nothing bad happened really. The epicentre was in Hubei.
I may go HK at the end of this year to visit Junmin. I miss her dreadfully too. Why are all my besties so far away from me? =( Those who are near don't really care. Maybe some of them still do, but everyone's so busy with their own lives. Sometimes, I wonder why should I always be the one who takes the initiative? Am I not busy too? Sighs.
Anyway, I just hope I won't lose my sanity. =/

Are You Happy NOW?
What could be worse than getting accused of being what you don't want to be? What could be worse than voluntarily helping someone and then being called 'foolish' and a nosy parker?
You tell me.
Well, I'm no angel. I never claimed to be one. So naturally I do expect some kind of appreciation in return. But I'm not asking you to give me truckloads of money or shower me with expensive gifts. The least you could do was to give me that thoughtfulness and respect, remembering that if I wasn't concerned enough about you, I wouldn't have done what I did or have said what I said.
Since you want it your way, so be it.
I am utterly sick and tired of voluntarily helping you out all the time. I'm foolish, right? I'm a busybody and shouldn't mind your business, right?
Fine. As you wish.
You've lost a friend in me.
Are you happy NOW?

School Holiday After Week One
It's a day of school holiday today. Even though I'm way past my youth days, I still get to celebrate it. READ: NO WORK TODAY.
Alright. I probably won't get to celebrate it every year anyway. Haha.
The first week of Term 3 was pretty hellish. Now that Teing Im is only teaching on a part-time basis, I've lots of things to handle for Choir. First of all, for the recording of the song for the school's 50th Anniversary, we couldn't do the recording on Thursday afternoon. So I had to meet up the 15 pupils to make last minute arrangements, running all over the school to look for them in their classes. In the evening, the bus brought us all the way to the recording studio some where in Ubi (near the driving centre). By the time the recording was completed, it was 930pm. And then, there were the SYF arrangements. Anyway, lots of thanks to Hui Shian for helping me out with this.
The SYF celebration at the stadium was okay I guess. Unfortunately, I think the audience were very tired by the time the whole programme started. PM Lee came at 5pm as scheduled. There weren't many cheers or screams until the band competition. That was the highlight as always. Once again, Tanjong Katong received the best band award while Deyi received the best drum major award.
Alright. It's time for me to go for driving. As usual, I'm cabbing! =P
