Hot Hot Hot!
I feel as if I can't breathe. It's so hot! The air is so heavy with moisture. Why can't it just rain? Bleah.
I've been up pretty early because of the heat - can you beat that? I thought I could sleep some more since it's a Saturday. Oh well.
Mag messaged to say she's marking at Pacific Coffee now. Heh. Super on. I'll be meeting Gina, Jann and Joey for gym (finally!) at 3.45pm. We'll be doing dinner after that. I was hoping we could catch a movie but it'd be too rushed to catch any 7pm ones and the 9pm movies are too late.
The only nice timing, 8pm, is at Orchard Cineleisure but their Internet-booking didn't allow me to make any booking this morning. It said that the Internet-booking quota had exceeded; any purchase of tickets had to be done on the spot.
I'm quite disappointed. Oh well, nevermind. I'll just enjoy the dinner then.

Rain, Please Come!
I was lying on my bed sending messages via SMS on my handphone. Then when I was going to sleep, I couldn't.
It's too HOT and HUMID! I feel like I'm breathing in too much vapour. My coughing fits worsened today and it's making my throat extremely sore.
I hate this weather. I'll take the cold and dry climate anytime.
Cheryl mentioned going Perth for the Geography trip in June. The school doesn't feel comfortable going to Bali. I'm wondering if I should join. June in Australia is WINTER! Shiok!
But, of course, the cost will be a lot higher. I probably need to put aside S$2000 for airfare and everything else.
Anyway, back to the topic: RAIN, PLEASE COME!!!

Most Bizarre
Lessons have just ended for the day. The day has been alright so far - the pupils were generally cooperative.
5B, though, was in a state of hyperactiveness! Gosh! I asked a few pupils to read a passage with as much expression as they could. When it was KL's turn, he simply went mad. He stopped quite a few times and I had to keep asking him to re-read the entire thing. And when he finally delivered a decent reading, he ended the last 2 sentences of that passage in a sudden burst of loudness and bizarre excitement.
*!?!?!?!?!?!?!?*
The entire class burst out laughing uncontrollably. I was most speechless and incredulous when he finished reading in that manner. And that fella still had the cheek to wave triumphantly to his fellow classmates as if he'd just completed the most odious task on earth.
Most bizarre indeed.
Anyway, I'll be doing some marking later outside with Pikie as she studies for her examinations, which will be starting next Wednesday. I probably won't be home till night.
Here's a brief update on yesterday...
Thursday (28th)
School was fine. I spent a bit of time helping Pikie with a Maths problem in the school library. Gosh, after having not taught Maths for slightly over 2 years, I was still able to solve an O level question - albeit a little longer than what I could achieve during my O level days. I was still rather pleased with myself though. Heh heh. Talk about being humble. *puke puke*
After that, I met Mag in town for dinner. Oz gave me a lift - otherwise I'd be really late. Mag and I ate at the Crystal Jade at Scotts Picnic. We had noodles as we talked and caught up with what has been going on in our own lives. It was enjoyable, though more than half the time, both of us were having stomach discomforts due to gastric.
We went home after that and I was -dead- to the world. Haw haw.

Fellowship Of The Sheep *BAAAA!!!!!*
Cellgroup time last night was good. It had been quite a few months since we last gathered. This time, we got together at Kris' place. Some of us quickly finished our dinner (sobs, I ate McChicken meal... fattening!) and started at around 7.50pm.
I shared about my major decision. Then we prayed for a while and worshipped. And I couldn't stop coughing! Ack! Felt so stupid. It was one of those coughs which usually gets triggered off by smoke and I'd just cough non-stop. I thought my lungs were going to collapse because I had difficulty breathing at one point. Nonetheless, I tried my best to worship along with the rest. At another point, I thought - gosh, could I be possessed!?!?!?!?! O_O
Erm... okay, nevermind. Unnerving subject. At least I don't talk to myself in different voices - that I'm very sure. ;p
After worship, we shared about what we thought about Chris Hayward's sermon and how we could apply the principle of change to a specific area in our lives. It was interesting for once - I thought everyone was sharing candidly about what they thought and how they felt, though it took us a while to get warmed up. Heh heh. But I really enjoyed the fellowship last night very much.
We closed the time with another round of prayers, then ate and crapped together for a while before going home in 'drips and draps'. Haha.
My stomach is growling now. Sigh. I think I'd better go silence it with BRUNCH.

A Major, Major Decision
I made a super major decision last night. Well, I've told a few people about it and I've got mixed responses. Mostly supportive. I'll probably share with the cellgroup tonight and see where it takes off from there. They are important people in my life too.
Most importantly, I pray and hope that God supports this.
If He does, things will go very smoothly very quickly. That's what I prefer. Less of a hassle. Heh. I've had enough of that.
If He doesn't?
Hoho. That's for me to know and for you to find out.
PS: To those who know what it's all about, please don't spell it out at the tagboard. Thanks.

On Medical Leave... Resting
This is my second day on medical leave. Yeah, I'm having an extremely bad flu, with fever now and then. I wish it would just go away... far far away... far far far away...
Anyway, I'm feeling slightly better now, except for my throat and nose (as usual). I'm starting to cough too, which is bad news because my voice may just go any time. My head's a bit groggy from too much sleep too, so I decided to be up early today.
Cindy came online for a while and we chatted a little. [To Cindy: Hang on in there, sister! I'm sure things will become clearer for you!]
Sunday's worship service was :O. The team was still practising to get certain things right - even at 9am, when the service was supposed to start! I felt so stupid because everyone was like seated there, waiting and looking at all of us on the stage. I couldn't see Pastor James anywhere, so I was like, "Erm... are we supposed to start already? Or do we wait for Pastor?" I looked at Kris and thought I heard her say, "Can start already." (or something like that)
So I apologised to the congregation for keeping them waiting, while my brain was like, "Oh gosh... what to do? What to say? God, HELP ah!!!"
Then I looked at them. Some looked like they missed their beds and pillows at home. Before my brain could stop my mouth, I asked everyone to greet one another good morning. While they were doing that, my mind began to panic again. Shoosh, what am I supposed to do this time? The bible! Yes! What did I prepare? Psalm 89? No, dumb dumb! That was what I took from the bible for my songs!
I grabbed my bible and clumsily flipped to Psalm 92. I think I must have rambled some crap to the congregation (I seriously can't remember -what-) and started reading the verses from Psalm 92. And I kept reading the words wrongly! Oh gosh! I think my own pupils would have rated my reading skills as 4/10!
I can't remember what I said after we'd read the verses. But somehow, we just started with the first song Come and Bless the Lord. And from there on, I just enjoyed singing praises to God. At first, I didn't dare to look at the congregation. When I finally dared to look, I saw Gina smiling like crazy. When I looked again a second and third time, I saw Jann and Peijun smiling and a few people were moving (not just clapping their hands mechanically). For once, the congregation looked like they actually enjoyed praising the Lord. I think everything went rather smoothly until the transition to the final song. We kinda like faltered for a second or two, but it was okay. We simply just moved on. I can just pray and hope that the congregation was ministered by the Holy Spirit.
We can practise like crazy and perfect a certain style of playing or the transition from one song to another... but when the actual service comes, we really don't know what will happen - especially how God intends to work. There'll definitely be hiccups here and there (it'll be imprudent to assume otherwise), but I guess the crux of the whole matter is: Is God in our midst? Is He pleased with our worship? Are the people ministered by the Holy Spirit?
Well, I feel I still have a lot to learn where worship leading is concerned. If not for Pastor James and Kris, I'd probably be a lot more lost. Thank God for them! But, of course when everything was over on Sunday, I reflected and wished there were certain things which I'd not done. Heh. It was like, suddenly, all those mistakes loomed up and momentarily caused me to forget how much I'd enjoyed worship.
Pastor sent an encouraging message via SMS yesterday. Then this morning, Cindy shared that she felt good about the worship on Sunday. I can only thank God for using me, this puny little nobody, to bless other people.

Freaking Out
Right, I'm kinda like freaking out now... over tomorrow's worship service. I'm so so so afraid I'll bungle everything up and make a mess of everything! :(
Worship practice just now was a little messy, though it definitely wasn't horrible. I guess we just need a little bit more fine-tuning, that's all. I think my voice is cracking up bad. Haha! My throat's been kinda inflamed on and off the past 2 weeks. We need more vocalists! Hoo!
Think I'd better go settle the sudden panic that's welling up within me. If anyone's reading this, please pray for me.
I wish it'll rain later, so that it won't be so hot at night. The heat isn't helping.
God! Help! Let Your rain fall upon me!

Fabulously Flabby
We had Speech and Prize Giving Day yesterday morning. Everything ended later than the previous years'... at around 11.45am. By the time we could eat, it was around 12.15pm. Hence we weren't able to have our staff photographs taken in time for the Muslim colleagues to go for prayer at 12.45pm.
Anyway, photo-taking has been postponed to the staff meeting during the June holiday. o_O
I got the class photos and I look positively BLOATED in all of them!!! ARGH!!! I should have stood somewhere at the side. Less conspicuous. Might have appeared even slimmer also. HAHA. *gag* ;p
Right, there's the fabulously flabby me.
I WILL NOT GET ANY FATTER THAN THIS!
WILL NOT! MUST NOT! SHALL NOT! CANNOT! OUGHT NOT TO! MAY NOT!
DEFINITELY NOT!

Drama-mama-papa
This morning's English lesson was a racket! *LOL* I booked the AVT for lesson with 5B today. I nearly died laughing the whole time. It's been quite a while since the kids did any role-playing and I must say I enjoyed it as much as they did, if not more.
I set them a task over a span of one week. They had to come up with a short skit on the title "Emergencies @ Home". First, they had to write a narrative piece of writing based on the given title. After marking their essays (6 only! So for once I could finish marking within a day!) I returned them their work to do corrections. They also had to come up with a script from their narrative version. Of course, I told them no bad English (nor Singlish) was allowed - in preparation for their coming Oral Examination at the same time. Hence, most of them were generally coherent during their act.
The use of props really makes a difference to any drama. Initially, I told the class that props weren't necessary because it wasn't a performance test; I'd just wanted them to have a bit of fun during English lessons for once and to rekindle their interest in drama. Eventually, all of them used props, which impressed me immensely because it showed that they were excited and enthusiastic about the whole thing. Best of all, they shared props. All the national education on saving paper and so on worked! Haha. Most of the emergencies they came up with involved fire, so each group shared this piece of orange vanguard sheet that was cut up to resemble fire. They had a paper TV and a paper shelf too! So it was quite comical to see the paper shelf 'crashing' onto Alvin. Haha.
I think I'm going to give them one last round of drama to do right after the mid-year examinations before they start their intensive revision for the O levels. I'm thinking of asking them to do a video this time - so that when everything's over, I can burn all their works onto CDs and let them keep as souvenirs. =)
Well, here's to all the drama-mamas-papas: You did beautifully today!
Cheers!

Weddings To Attend... Weight To Lose
A couple of nights ago, my parents told me that my cousin You Kuang will be getting married on the 15th October. I forgot about it completely until my Aunt Lay called me a while ago, asking if I could help out as the keyboardist for the church wedding. I told her I couldn't (because I haven't played the piano for more than 10 years!!!) but I would ask around to see who could help.
Oh, and there's another cousin's wedding to attend in early October too. =B Why October eh? Hm. Oh, and I think Jane's wedding is coming too. November? December? Somewhere around that time. Okay, so that's like 3 weddings to attend.
Anyway, since I'm part of the family, I'm expected to help. That means I gotta dress up! But I can't fit into my evening gowns anymore! I'm not going to buy any new ones because it's really impractical to splurge on something which I don't wear often. No choice. I must shed off those pounds! xB
I haven't been exercising (other than tennis, which isn't much of a workout especially when I'm only starting to learn) much over the past 2.5 years. Isn't that atrocious?! No wonder I gained 10kg. *pukes* :( I look and feel horrible.
Alright, must work my butt off soon to get in shape! Esther said she'll get a day pass so that I could join her at gym one day. Gina says we could sign up sometime around next week. I predict I'll just die while trying to do anything remotely close to physical training. Sigh. Oh well, I have to start -somewhere-. o_O
Looking forward to tomorrow's EL lesson with 5B. They're going to do drama. Yays. After so long! I've always loved drama. I feel it gives life to any lessons. It's such a pity the major examinations require drilling and more drilling on paper - very dry and monotonous for the kids... and for teachers too, I believe. But, well, we don't have much of a choice really. Hm, won't it be so cool to have drama as a subject at O level? I mean there's Art and Music at O level, why not other Performing Arts? x)
Okay okay, I shall stop this day-dreaming. I'm supposed to get some paper work done, but I got distracted. Hoho.
Tata. xP

Fearful Commitment
Is commitment such a fearful thing?
Some lovers fear commitment in a relationship. Some students fear committing too much time to their studies or CCAs because these will take away their 'play' time. Some Christians fear committing some things, let alone everything, to God.
Why?
Is the fear there because one can't always predict the future? Or is it because we are really SUCH busy people that we can't seem to manage our time properly? Or perhaps, we're simply not interested and have other agenda in mind?
A couple of scenarios...
A: Yo, free this Thursday? Go makan together!
B: Er, sorry. I may have something on this Thursday. Don't think we can eat together.
What B actually is really trying to say is: I'm not interested to eat with you, so I'm not going to meet you on Thursday. Not ever. How can one tell? Well, if B had any genuine interest at all, B would have offered to makan together on an alternative day!
P: Yo, free this Sunday? We've got this really great speaker coming to our church and I wanna invite you so that you can be blessed as well. Come, join me!
Q: Er, sorry. Sunday is family time. I don't think I can make it.
P: Cool. Family time! I'm inviting your whole family then. Since it's family day, I'm sure everyone in your family can make it. Why not come down and be blessed?
Q: Er, sorry, we don't attend church.
See? The real reason finally comes out. HA! -Unwillingness-
Interesting scenarios, but ones which I'm sure we're not entirely unfamiliar with.
I'm not saying that I'm not guilty of this. Gosh, no. I'm 200% guilty of the above crime - like everyone else. Heh, maybe more so than everyone else. So, why am I bringing this up?
I guess I'm just about starting to feel fed-up with giving and receiving such answers.

Sometimes, Sorry Just Ain't Good Enough
Have you ever done something to someone and felt sorry about it later on? Then, no matter how many 'sorry's you say, things just don't seem quite right?
But I'm thankful that my 'sorry' was accepted. I did something insensitive to a friend on Saturday. It wasn't until today I woke up with this nagging feeling that it was totally unfeeling of me to have done that. I pondered over it on my way to work, and was harassed by work until I finally left school. I pondered over it again on my way home. On reaching home, I decided to apologise to that friend via SMS. She said she was okay and had forgotten about it already.
It got me thinking. If she weren't okay with it, and had I disregarded the nagging thought to apologise to her, things might go worse. But now that I've apologised, I'm wondering if she's really okay about the whole thing. I'll just have to hope for the best I guess.
Because, sometimes, sorry just ain't good enough.
Well, you see - there are times when I'm on the receiving end of the insensitive words, and even after the person has apologised, I still don't feel okay about it (despite accepting the apology and telling the person I'm fine when I really am not). Yet I can't bear a grudge on that person because, after all, to be able to say sorry is admitting that he/she is wrong - which is a rather brave thing to do. Makes me wonder if I'm expecting people to grovel as they apologise or maybe I'm just mentally unsound.
Then again, some people aren't genuine about apologizing. For whatever reasons, God knows.
Hm... I can only hope my sorry was good and genuine enough.

I'm Still Awake!
Guess what? I'm still awake! ;o It's past 1.30am already.
Anyway, I was at home the entire morning, making some last minute changes for the worship songs and doing up the PowerPoint slides. I had the intention to leave home for school (to get some paper work done) by 11am, but I was still figuring out the sequence of a couple of songs and stayed home eventually.
Lunch was some soup noodles which my mom cooked. After that I got ready to head down to church. By the time we started practising, it was around 3pm. As the Dialect Service had already started, we practised in the Sound Room (wahahah, no insane people allowed... corny! ;P) until about 4pm and waited for the Dialect Service to end.
ID Service started punctually, as always. Worship was fun. Sermon was fun too, though the topic was a serious one - on our thoughts. Then we had a mini-birthday celebration for one of the youths, Peijun, as her birthday will be on the coming Tuesday. Gina and a few youths pushed her face into a mini-cake when she was asked to use her mouth to pick the chocolates without using her hands. After that, the 'real' birthday cake finally made its appearance with all the candles lit. Haha. It was funny.
After that, we all went for dinner. I had hokkien mee, two sticks of satay and a couple of chwee kueh. By the time we finished dinner, it was around 9.30pm. I got home by 10.15pm and collapsed into bed before coming online an hour ago to do some more changes on my blog template.
I guess I should sleep now so that I can wake up by 10am to finish up some crappy stuffs for school. Heh heh.
Till I blog again. Bon nuit!

Meet Sec 4&5's Parents
Another ten minutes to go before the session starts. I'm having a pretty bad stomach upset. I wonder if it's because I've eaten too much too quickly. I went GWC with Pikie for an early dinner because I was extremely hungry. We had KFC. The cheese fries were sinful, as usual. And I bought more junks.
Sighs. I think I'm going to give up losing weight. Haha.
Seven minutes to go.
I'm seriously bored. ;/
I'm wondering if I should come to school tomorrow and do up the certificates for Good Character Award. I was supposed to do them this afternoon but I went home right after school, and then came back school again to meet a student's parent at 3.30pm. It was pouring like crazy.
Anyway, back to the certificates. I can't do them on Monday because Mondays are generally my 'kee seow' day. x_X Sigh, oh well. I shall attempt to wake up early tomorrow to work on this in school. xP
Three minutes left.
*Yawn*
I think I can go drink some water now and then proceed to the hall.
I hope everything ends by 9pm. *crosses my fingers, toes and... erh, eyes*

Modifications Made
Right. What you see here is a modified version of the original design. It looks so different from the original that, in fact, I can claim it as my own 'masterpiece'! Haha. But I shall not do so. Well, for one, the image of the blue flower isn't my own to call. ;p I'll probably change the picture later on. I still like this one at the moment. Matches the blue theme I have for my blog. x) Yeah, call me vain. La la la...
Well, 5B will be doing their EL Mock Exam later for 3 periods. Yani should be in class with them now, starting it first. I think I have to start on the oral examination skills very soon because the examination will be taking place in about 2 weeks' time if I'm not wrong.
I'm feeling hungry now. I guess I'd better go eat. Probably going home right after school to bathe and all, then come back to finish up all the crappy paper work. There's the Sec 4&5's Meet-the-Parents at 7pm later. So much for having a great Friday. But it still spells 'the weekend is here', so that's at least one thing I'm thankful for. =)

Yep. I'm pretty sick of this present blog skin and so the search for a new one is on!

Overnapped
Right. I woke up at around 11pm... after a terribly long nap since 5pm. I thought I heard my handphone beep... dreamt that I replied, but I suddenly woke up and realised I hadn't even touched the handphone. Haha. Surreal.
I'd left work at around 3pm (earlier than most Mondays) to send Melody and Pikie to GWC since I was planning to buy some daily necessities at Cold Storage. By the time they finished their lunch, I was still shopping. So I decided to send them back home as well. Just before we left, the two girls wanted to print some photos from the handphone. After that, I bought some bread at BreadTalk for breakfast for the next day. Oh, we saw a group of girls from 4 Express at the cab stand too. After sending the two girls home, I went home and promptly concussed - practically dead to the world. There were a couple of missed calls on my handphone and a message. Haha.
Work at school was alright - thank God - amazingly better than most Mondays. I guess it was because 2H was more manageable today. I don't know what got into them.
Later on, the trainee teacher told me that Yazid got caned earlier. (Well, he was defiant to me last week and I sent him straight down to the Principal's office.) Maybe that was why 2H appeared more subdued today. I'm sure they'll be back to 'normal' by tomorrow.
Well, not that it bothers me anymore. I've come to learnt that I can't help pupils if they don't want to receive any help. I have other pupils (like my graduating classes) to push!
Speaking of which, I'm getting really stressed. I don't know if the sentence analysis thing which I've been doing with 5B the whole of last week is useful for them. I guess I can only tell when they have done some writing assignments - which I take -forever- to finish marking. x_X
Oh, and I totally forgot about photo-taking at 2.30pm just now. When I came back into the staffroom, I saw a missed call on my handphone and wondered why Sherlyn called me at 2.42pm. Haha. Just then, Pei Chin entered the staffroom, saw me and told me my form class was waiting for me at the foyer! I rushed like mad thereafter. Sorry, people, I was in Lab 2 with 4G as they were having their N Level coursework for CPA.
*shakes my head* I can't believe how forgetful I've become. I sure need some tonic to enhance my brain memory and power. Hoho. But now I need sleep. It's amazing how much can one sleep.
xP

Another Blog? That's Life...
I came back last night and blogged a little on Friendster's Blog. But I decided that the blog there is rather inflexible, though everything is set up very nicely for you with some choices on the design, layout and so on. But none of the designs appealed to me. I guess I'll probably use it one day when I'm too lazy to maintain my own blogs at Blogger.com. Hah. x)
Here's what I blogged at Friendster - then promptly cut and pasted here! ;p
Okay, I don't know why I would need another blog. I guess I'm just trying this out to see if this is better and I could just do away with my old blogs. It's getting quite a chore to maintain it. But then again, I'm the sort of person who hates to see efforts go to waste.
Some interesting quotes from ID service this evening:
Failure is an event, not a person.
Success is God-given.
Do we see ourselves as failures sometimes? I can't deny that I feel that from time to time... so much so I want to stop serving altogether.
It's interesting what Martin Luther King said about life. It's not about being godly, but becoming godly. Life is a process, we all know that. Hence, it's the same with being a Christian.
Or many other things for that matter.
That's life.

'Brief' Updates
Well, I'm not sure if the updates will be brief, but I'm just going to try my best to be succinct. HA!
Thursday (7th)
A loud explosion and screams were heard the minute I stopped blogging. That signalled the start of our school's emergency training exercise. I was part of Warden Team 1, whose immediate action was to get to the accident site after the Principal had made the announcement when the siren sounded. So I rushed to Biology Lab 2. Inside, I saw Grace with a few pupils. Some pupils were led out of the laboratory, which was becoming really smoky, by FET 1. After a couple of minutes, the rest of the members from Warden Team 1 arrived.
After we'd 'saved' the 'injured', we sealed the entire place so that it became out-of-bounds. Then we hung around to wait for the police to arrive before combing the entire school for 'missing' pupils. We found quite a few and sent them down to the Warden Post, where Mr Singh and Mr Chong were busy scribbling down their details.
At around 11.40am, we all noticed that the pupils were all streaming to the hall from the field. We gathered outside the kitchen where our facilitator briefed us on our performance. We were too tired to listen though. Halfway through, we realised the pupils were released earlier than scheduled - 12.30pm. After our facilitator was done, we trooped back to the staffroom, relishing the coolness of the air-conditioned place. I was so tired I had the intention to forego lunch, but decided to eat eventually - in case my gastric were to act up again.
The food wasn't too bad, but I was too tired to really appreciate it. After eating, I went back to the staffroom to surf on the Internet, waiting for 2pm to arrive. There was a debriefing of the whole emergency exercise at the AVT.
We were shown the video of the entire exercise. It was hilarious. I think the pupils are going to have a good laugh when they watch it on Monday's assembly. Great entertainment, I must say so myself. But seriously, I thought the whole thing looked pretty realistic (minus the fake fire and other props... the smoke in the lab and made-up injuries on the pupils looked pretty real though).
Yup. That was the highlight of the day. =)
Friday (8th)
Nothing much happened on this day. Lessons were as usual. There was the Speech Day Rehearsal at 3.30pm. By the time it was Choir's turn to perform, it was past 5pm. The kids were all tired, the poor things. I don't know why they like to put Choir's performance last on the list. I'm just wondering if they could change the order a little, otherwise it's so boring. Kinda unfair for the Choir pupils to stay back in school so late every year too. Sigh. Oh well.
I didn't attend worship practice eventually because I felt rather ill. My stomach was churning - I don't know why. I vomitted not long after I got home. Then I collapsed into bed not long after. I didn't even realise my parents had come home from Korea while asleep. I vaguely heard my mom's voice and I thought I was dreaming. Haha. I had a horrible nightmare too. I can't really remember what it was... but I remember being abused. ;( So sad...
Somehow I woke up at 2am, went to bathe, and back to sleep.
Well, and guess what? My dad just told me the screen of my digital camera cracked! Gosh! There goes my $500!!! I'm in a pretty foul mood now. I'm not so sure if I am in the right frame of mind to have lunch with Pikie, Ruting, Sherwin and Selwyn now. Sigh. What's going to happen to my camera? :(
Anyway, my dad says he's going to pay for the repair. Well, provided it can be repaired. The screen looks badly cracked. So is the cover. ARGH. :(
I'm -never- going to lend my parents anything expensive anymore. When I was younger and used their camera, I never spoiled it and they had to make a mountain out of a mole hill when they noticed the slightest scratch on it. But now my camera is CRACKED! How can anyone drop a camera until it's cracked like that?!
BAH. BAH. BAH. Too mad to type anymore. BAH!

Forgetfulness
I just had my breakfast. Sigh. I forgot to bring the hotdog and onion roll I bought at Centrepoint last night. My memory seems to be failing me of late.
Last night, when I got home after dinner with Cheryl, I realised I'd left my home keys in the laptop bag which I'd left in school! So, I was stuck outside home for about 20 minutes. When I realised I'd left the keys in school, I called my brother, who had thankfully finished his dinner and had a friend to send him back home from Bugis. I can't imagine how long I'd have to wait for him if he were taking public transport home.
Anyway, I was so exhausted that I collapsed into bed and slept all the way till this morning. :/
That was that. I hope I won't forget anything during the emergency exercise, which is about to take place in a few seconds' time...

Will The Staffroom Flood?
Okay, I'm still at work. It's going to be 5pm soon. I hope the rain stops soon or else I can't go home. Actually, I think I might go Tanglin Mall to buy some groceries and withdraw some cash. I'm pretty low on these at the moment. Not that my parents didn't stock the fridge well before they left (oh, did I mention? They left for Korea on Sunday 27th March and will be coming back on the 8th April, this Friday). I'd actually finished all the food I prefer to cook and eat. HAH.
Anyway, I was marking 5B's stacks of newspaper-cutting. I nearly dozed off, so I decided to blog a while.
Usually when it rains, it gets really cold in the air-conditioned staffroom. But I don't find it particularly cold today - even with the terrific torrential. Hm... *peers out of the window* The rain seems to be lightening up a bit. Gosh, I hope it'll cease completely by 5.30pm so that I can go grocery-shopping and get home to cook my dinner in time. No one can make it for dinner with me tonight. So sad. =(
Just as well. Everywhere's wet and cold. I don't like that unless I'm completely -free- of things like my laptop, which I have to lug to work and back home everyday. Blauech.
Alright, I'm feeling hungry and I've got nothing except packets of soup in my drawer. Pathetic. ;6~~~

TGIF Again
Yep. Once again, mercifully, the weekend is upon us. This week has been quite a chore at work probably because of the previous weekend which was unusually long - last Thursday was the school's Sports Day (no lessons), last Friday was Good Friday (public holiday), then of course the usual Saturday and Sunday. And on Sunday, I had diarrhoea, which continued on to Monday and I had to take an MC. Thankfully, my condition improved by Monday night and then it was half-day at work on Tuesday because boss had decided so.
So after work, I've been going back home to sleep or entering into some sort of a tired-but-unable-to-sleep-at-all trance in the late afternoons. Dinner this week has been porridge, porridge and more porridge, though I ate more sinfully (that is, non-healthily) during lunches. Bah. I still have a bag of Lay's potato chips somewhere around under my workstation. Haha. How atrocious. I'm the ultimate junk-bin. xP
Well, anyway, TGIF again. I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend. =D
