Still Not Working
Okay, I didn't join Cheryl and Pei Chin for marking eventually. By the time I finished lunch with my family, I thought the timing was a bit too late, especially when I had to travel down to the place on my own. A cab ride wasn't exactly tempting when I thought of the cab queue.
Lunch was alright though. We ate at Jack's Place and I ordered chicken and mushroom spaghetti. It was pretty nice. I liked the gravy - wasn't too thick nor too watery. Just nice.
Well, we came home and I went online for a while. I was supposed to start work, but it was too hot to do anything that was remotely related to work! So I checked my email accounts and talked with Mag via MSN for a while. After going offline, I dozed off and napped for about 40 minutes.
I guess I'd better do a bit of work before dinner is ready. It's still hot and humid. Sigh. I wonder how much I can finish tonight.

Think About His Love
Think About His Love
Think about His love
Think about His goodness
Think about His grace
That's brought us through
For as high as the heavens above
So great is the measure of our Father's love
Great is the measure of our Father's love
How could I forget His love
How could I forget His mercy
He satisfies, He satisfies
He satisfies my desires
(Great is the measure of our Father's love)
Even when I've strayed away
His love has sought me out and found me
He satisfies, He satisfies
He satisfies my desires
(Great is the measure of our Father's love)
This song came to me when I was in the cab on my way to church yesterday afternoon. I was tearing in the cab. I think the cab driver probably thought I'd gone bonkus. Haha. Thank God I wasn't on a bus though.
Then during sermon last night, Kris told a beautiful story about a teacher and a student. The student dirtied the piece of fresh, white paper the teacher gave and went up to ask for a new one, which the teacher willingly gave - a brand new chance to start all over.
This is a touching analogy of God's love for us, which is by far a lot more moving in reality. I'm sure He can wipe out the entire mankind, along with all the sins, with a single strike of the lightning, but He hasn't. It probably would have shortened all our sufferings on earth - but we'd end up with eternal life in Hell. So He's chosen a radical, most brilliant way of saving us all. A far more merciful way: Through Jesus, He gives us a brand new day to start off with each day, so that believers (who are ever so imperfect) and the pre-saved have a chance to confess, repent and turn back to Him.
Each time we sin, we're violating Him - not just His law, but Him. Yet, He still keeps us alive so that we not only have a second chance, but a third, a fourth, a fifth... and so on. Of course, this doesn't mean that He allows us to take Him for granted. We'll have to account for our EVERY action on Judgement Day.
Hm... I've always wondered how I am going to account to Him for what I've done on earth. Or what I was supposed to have accomplished, but I didn't. The first thing that came to me was to just simply throw some silly excuses. But who am I fooling? He knows my every thought and, not to mention, the intention that goes along with it.
I guess the only way is to live my life according to His Word. Tough job but, thank God for who He is, one day I'm sure I'll be who He wants me to be.
Cheryl just messaged to ask if I want to go marking with her and Peichin. Hoho! Alrighty! Marking, here I come! *ROAR*

Out of Sorts
I've been feeling rather out of sorts lately. Perhaps it's PMS.
The sermon today was good. Acceptance, forgiveness and hope. These are the 3 things which Jesus Christ brings to all who put their trust in Him. The message came very timely especially when I had a horrible morning and afternoon, and not to mention the entire week being totally messed-up. A lot of last minute things and changes at work and church along with other matters. I think I nearly went berserk!
Honestly, I haven't been feeling 'in place' lately. I've been feeling that I don't quite belong to wherever I am... be it at work, church or even home. Home had been rather peaceful the past couple of weeks until today when my parents just started quarrelling out of the blue. Then the whole afternoon I was having a bad headache and I felt like vomitting. Probably gastric - since I didn't have a single morsel of food since I woke up. But what of the headache? Grrr...
Anyway, thank God. The worship service today was good. After 6 years of serving on the pulpit, you'd think I'm experienced in serving in the worship ministry. The truth is, I get butterflies EVERY TIME I serve, whether I'm leading or supporting worship. The pressure isn't as intense for sure when I support worship, but I get nervous nonetheless. Which was why - thanks to The Almighty - I actually enjoyed serving today, despite the fact that I was leading the worship segment and having a totally horrible day to start off with. Cindy did a great job for the praise segment too, and I guess it helped lead the congregation worship more freely later on.
I enjoyed the sermon too. Heheh. Kris, if you're reading this, yeah! You were a lot more focussed this time. =D
Don't quite know what to do tomorrow. Gina couldn't get the tennis court. So I'm now wondering if I should still go over to swim in the morning. Joey told me they're meeting in the afternoon after her facial tomorrow. Don't know if I should do my marking outside or at home tomorrow. It's crowded everywhere on Sunday. Yucks. But home is so hot! And my parents are unwilling to get the airconditioner fixed, nor buy new ones. So I guess I'm stuck with the pathetic fan.
Perhaps I should be glad that I still have the fan to provide some ventilation in my room. Learn to count my blessings.
1, 2, 3... dum dee dum...
=D
So... am I still 'out of sorts' now...?

The 3 Rs That I Need
Hi there. It's been quite a long while since I last updated yeh?
CNY was a long break and I had a lot of work to clear by the time I got back to school. The marking was just piling up. It still is.
Well, don't quite know what to update. I'm just exhausted basically. The 3 Rs that I need:
I need a rest.
I need to run away.
I need to reflect.

Day 2 of CNY
I woke up late today. Actually, I slept rather early last night... at around 8pm, I think. Then, I woke up at 3am (after 7 hours of sleep!) and came online. Mad? Well, I was online for about an hour or so and I went back to sleep at around 4.30am. This morning, I was up at around 11am (hoho... another 7 hours of sleep).
I took my morning shower. When I came out of the bathroom, my dad's cousin and his son were at the living room. I apologised for not being around. ;p They left after a while and now, I'm here blogging.
My mom's preparing yu sheng now. Gosh, I hope it isn't much. She has this awful habit of making more than enough and I always feel like puking after eating too much of it. ;o
My 2nd aunt (dad's 2nd elder sister) isn't back in Singapore yet, so I guess we won't be visiting her today. I think I shall pack my room. Remember, it's only 50% packed. Hoho... I'm a messy person. Perhaps it's time to develop the character of orderliness this new year. Eh???
La la la...

Terribly Stuffed!
I just came back from visitation. And I'm feeling terribly stuffed! I'm so sick of food now. I've been eating too much since last week (my birthday - had a few dinner appointments) and now, this week (CNY - all the junk and goodies).
Honestly, I didn't eat much of the goodies. It's just the catered food during lunch at my nanny's place and the popiahs I had later on at my uncle's (my dad's cousin) place. And of course, the soft drinks just made me feel more bloated. Right, no more soft drinks after today! NO MORE!
I seriously never enjoyed visitation. Every year, the same people will ask me the same questions. As I grow older, it just gets more boring. Year in, year out, same questions and same answers. The red packet part is worse. As an adult, it's just utterly weird to receive a red packet. Not that I'm dying to get married. I seriously can do without the angpows. I told some of these nice people, "It's alright. You don't have to give me." They replied, "Oh, no problem. Take it for prosperity and luck." I was like... ehm, I don't believe in luck. But what else could I do? I couldn't be rude and fling back the red packets back at their faces, right? So I just quickly stuffed them into my handbag before anyone else could see me holding one. Sigh. The thought of going through this again NEXT YEAR makes me dread CNY all the more. Why can't society just do away with the angpow-giving tradition for people who are in their 20s and above? xP
Okay, that's my angst for the day, among other things which aren't important now.
Gosh, I hope my mom isn't cooking dinner. I feel like I've eaten enough to go without meals for the next 7 days! ;o
Kinda bored now... and a little tired. But I don't dare to nap now. I'm charging my handphone at the moment and I don't want to over-charge it. Oh, I didn't charge it before I left my home - had totally forgot all about it all morning until my mom said it was time to go for visitation. Then I was like slapping my forehead when I checked my handphone. Sigh. Anyway, somehow the handphone managed to last the whole entire afternoon - even after my cousin Xiaorong called to talk to my mom. I kept hovering around my mom, telling her my handphone's battery was low. Haha. She finally hung up and I quickly kept it in my bag before anyone wished to take a look at it to see how good/bad it worked, wasting the battery in the process. ;p
I'm so protective over my handphone now because 1) it's new, 2) I'd spent S$528 on it, and 3) I'd dropped it twice since I bought it. The 1st drop was on a thick carpet, so it wasn't so bad. Unfortunately, the 2nd one was on the floor in school! Argh! I could've kicked myself for being so clumsy! Bah!
Alright, enough about my handphone. I think I shall stop here. I'm thirsty. Time for water parade... gulp gulp gulp...

Day 1 of CNY... Year of the Rooster
I woke up almost an hour ago, washed up and came online, doing nothing in particular. Feeling lazy. ;p I could have slept longer especially when I slept rather late this morning, but somehow I was up earlier than expected.
My room is still half-packed! Argh! ;p
Anyway, a little updating to do...
Monday (7th)
As usual, it was a horrible Monday due to my very packed timetable. Then there was the afternoon assembly, which helped make the day a little better because it was so hilarious. The guy presenting the assembly item was a very witty, funny chap. Reynold, Wayne, Daniel Cheow and 2 Ezhaqs volunteered for the martial arts part of the programme. I had a good laugh when they followed the steps of the demonstrator.
After that, it was Choir. I stayed in the music room when Ai Ming came. The choir didn't sound very good that day, I don't know why. It could be because of the noisy environment (band was blowing their lungs out on the instruments outside the music room among other things), which was extremely distracting.
Okay, so by the time everything ended, it was already 6.15pm or so. I packed up and Cheryl drove us to pick Amy up for dinner. We went Lemon Grass. Amy still looked the same just that her hair was shorter. She came back this time without Marco. She said just ONE return plate ticket for her cost S$1700, which is terribly expensive. Which was why Marco didn't join her this time round, along with other factors.
We talked as we ate our dinner. Amy updated us on her life and her business over there. We told her about the changes in Queenstown and so on. It was a pleasant dinner, I'd say. Amy seems happier now. I hope everything works out just as fine for her in 2005 if not better.
Cheryl sent us home at around 9plus. As usual, I simply concussed...
Tuesday (8th) - Lunar New Year's Eve
The school celebrated CNY with the usual fanfare from the performing arts CCA groups. There were some technical hiccups during the Chinese Dance's performance. The programme had to go on though and the group got to perform towards the end, which was good. The pupils were very patient for once - no one boo-ed. I missed the finale segment as I went to the ladies.
Everything ended a little after 10am. The pupils were dismissed and I hung around in school for a while more until almost 11am before going home. Teing Im gave me a lift to Redhill MRT Station where I took the bus home.
At home, I had lunch. Haha, my mom didn't realise I had come back, so she had to cook my lunch after my parents had eaten theirs, which was really of no big deal because I wasn't hungry anyway. I slept after lunch because I had a very bad headache and was extremely upset over some matters (don't wish to talk about it now... kinda pointless).
I woke up a couple of hours later and started throwing away unwanted things and vacuumed my room. I had a quick shower and my family went to my uncle's (my mom's eldest brother) place for reunion dinner. It was the first time after so many years (since my maternal grandparents passed away) that we were having the reunion dinner at a relative's home, instead of restaurants.
The food wasn't too bad. My aunt had bought the dishes from her office's canteen after work, but I thought it wasn't too bad by canteen's standard. Anyway, I always feel it's the company that counts during a meal. After all, what goes into our body comes out as -ahem-. Hoho. I shall not attempt to be gross on the first day of CNY. ;p
It was good to see my cousins (Xiaorong, Shouming, Wanjun and Shouwen) after one year. I'm closer to Xiaorong and we usually could meet up during school holidays (she teaches at RJC). However, we didn't manage to meet after last year's CNY because of our busy schedules or whatever other reasons. Haha.
Anyway, she showed me this book which questioned the background of charismatic churches and as usual voiced out whatever she'd read or discovered over the year. I was a little irritated with what she'd implied about charismatic churches. Not that I don't like the way she questions. What I admire about her is that she doesn't just take everything at face value, but she checks and reads up to find out more before she forms her thoughts. So after all her reading up, she finds that there are a lot of contradictions in the teachings of charismatic churches and that after talking to some of her friends from such churches, she finds that their bible knowledge lacks depth and they don't seem to know what they're talking about. This is with regards to issues on the speaking of tongues, being filled with the Holy Spirit and just anyone who isn't a prophet prophesying God's word.
I didn't say anything to her, except asked her questions. I was kinda disturbed that she kept picking on a single charismatic church in all that she mentioned last night, though she did mention one or two other charismatic churches. She used to be from that church. Hm. I can't decide whether I'm disturbed by the way she picked on the church or what she shared happened in the church which she saw with her own eyes. Anyway, I just pray and hope that whatever she reads (bible or otherwise) God will give her His wisdom and discernment.
My brother, cousins and I went Tiong Bahru Plaza at around 9plus to watch Constantine. Shouming drove the 6 of us there in his dad's car. Haha. And we kept poking fun at Shouming about his sending his girlfriend home all the way at Sengkang. Oh, he's getting ROM-ed in the middle of this year and the wedding banquet will be on 1st October. I wonder if there'll be a church wedding. His parents are quite anti-Christ.
Oh, I saw some ex-QTSS pupils at TBP too. My very first batch of pupils from 3C... way back in 2000! It took me a few seconds to recognize who they were. They were standing outside some shops while my cousins, brother and I were going down one level using the escalator. One of them saw me and started waving to me first. Then the rest of them turned to look at me. After a few seconds, I realised the guy who waved at me first was Alfie. (Oh my! I actually remember his name!) I saw Jieling too. But I couldn't remember the others' names, though their faces were so familiar. I wasn't able to stop to talk to them because we were rushing to withdraw cash and to go for the movie. Anyway, it was really a surprise to see them there. I was glad to see them looking more mature albeit one or two who had very happening hair colours. Haha.
After the movie, Shouming sent all of us back. The movie was quite crappy, so nothing much to say about it. Heh. Some people may like it, but I personally found it senseless. Even though it was about angels and devils, there was a tad too much 'extra' information which, I felt, twisted the truth.
Once home, I washed up and came online. I talked a while with Gina on MSN before the whole system went haywire. Left with nothing to do, and not wanting to continue packing my room nor watch TV, I went to sleep.
Well, I don't know if my parents have the intention to go to my nanny's place today. It seems that we're going there gradually later in the day with each progressing year. Hoho.
Okay, this is quite a long blog. I'm gonna stop now. Blog another day... another time...
Blessed Lunar New Year to everyone!!!!! =)

More Tennis... More Burnt...
I came home quite some time back after shopping a while with Gina, Jann and Joey in town at Zara (the one beside Wheelock) and Esprit. I couldn't find anything nice for CNY. Sigh.
Anyway, I was feeling kinda upset too. I'm not entire sure why I was upset... with many things I guess. My head's throbbing now. And I still have loads of tests to mark. More sighs.
Okay, let me recap what I did on Friday and yesterday...
Friday (4th)
I left school and took a cab to Queensway Shopping Centre to meet Gina, who had arrived earlier than arranged. We walked around to check out the tennis rackets and I bought one that was claimed to be very suitable for beginners at S$89. The boss threw in the grip for free (alamak, a bit cheapo, but better than nothing yah).
After that, we walked around some more because I'd wanted to get a sports bag. I couldn't quite decide which one I wanted. There were 3 bags which I had my eyes on - Nike, Fila and Adidas. I finally settled on the Adidas one, which cost me S$36. It was huge. I like the colours and design, though the bag was a bit longer than the usual sports bag. But Gina said I could stuff my tennis racket into the bag, which I thought was an excellent idea.
We left Queensway in a cab. I dropped her off at Lido and went back home to dump all my stuffs and change my clothes. I left my house within 30 minutes and met up with Gina again (this time with Shannon) at McDonald's. Joey came a while later with her friend. We ate and, as usual, Shannon left us amused with her antics. After Gina brought Shannon back to her mother at the boutique, we went to shop for CNY clothes. I ended up buying 3 tanktops of the same design but in different colours from Mango. Mad, huh? ;o Well, I couldn't decide which colours I liked, so since each one cost only S$15 I bought all three. ;p
Joey and Gina left at around 6.45pm for Kris' place. They had arranged to have dinner with Uncle William and his family, who came back from Taiwan for a short while. I walked to Specialist's Centre, where I'd arranged with Cheryl for her to pick me up for dinner. Hoho, she was late because of tummy ache. We went to this Japanese place for dinner. The food was not too bad. Loved the spaghetti, which was done with roe, I think. I liked the pork salad too. Amy and Hwei Leng couldn't come because of family commitments. Anyway, we just ate and talked. Then Cheryl sent me home.
We hardly have time to makan out together these days, so I enjoyed the quiet dinner we had. Yeah, no frills. Now that I'm close to one-third of a century old, I like things simple and quiet. I'm kinda averse to huge parties. Heh. Like I'm so old now. x_X
Saturday (5th)
I woke up at around eight plus and thought about stuffs. At around 11.30am, I left for Dover to have tennis with Gina and Pikie. Yeah, a totally crazy hour to play tennis, but because 1) Gina, her royal majesty, wanted her tan and 2) Pikie, the forever 'big-busy-person', had jamming from 9.30am to 11.30am, I had no choice but to comply. So, I'm now more burnt than ever. Ouchie.
After waiting around, we started playing slightly after noon. Jann and Joey were around too because Gina and Jann had bunked over at Joey's place the night before after dinner at Kris' place. Anyway, Pikie was trying to teach me the proper footwork and how to swing the racket. I think I'm a total klutz when it comes to sport. Never mind my dance background. Somehow when it comes to being active and graceful in sports, I just CANNOT MAKE IT. It's a miracle I can even lift my arm to hit the tennis ball. Correction: it's a miracle I can even hit the ball - that is, when I do hit it. Hoho.
Well, I'm not about to give it up. You gotta be kidding! After spending money on a racket and a few pieces sports apparels, there's no way I'm giving up until I get the hang of it! How true is the bible thus: where your treasure is, there your heart lies. Hoho. Besides, I've always wanted to learn tennis, like cycling, since JC days. Now that I've mastered cycling (albeit super shaky), it's time for tennis.
Anyway, I was almost ready to give it up yesterday though. I was frustrated with the way I was not reacting when the ball came flying from the other side of the court or from anywhere. Basically, you can say I'm physically S-L-O-W when it comes to sports. My brain just goes blank and everything just doesn't make any sense to me. I was so frustrated that I declared that I didn't care anymore about footwork etc and I'd just focus on hitting the darn ball and getting it over the darn net. (Sorry about that, Pikie.) A while later though, after practising in vain hitting the balls over the net, Gina tried to help me to hit the ball more purposefully in a certain direction. After a while, I realised that I was hitting the balls with my racket more comfortably, even though I still had some misses here and there. So actually, it wasn't too bad.
Oh, we had our lunch at the tennis court. Jann and Joey went to buy lunch for us. I had shredded chicken noodles, which tasted heavenly because I was totally famished. We played doubles for a while with a slippered Joey (Jann didn't want to play, so she just sat around), I practised on hitting some more with Gina's help and we finally left the court to go to the air-conditioned lounge at around two plus. I went to bathe after I'd cooled down.
When I was done bathing, Pikie came to tell me that she saw Susan Chew at the gym! So we went to the gym and started talking with her for a while. It was really good to see her again and knowing that she's doing fine. =)
At around 4.15pm, we left Dover. Gina, Jann and Joey went to Queensway Shopping Centre while I sent Pikie home before heading down to church for jamming. By the time I got to church, it was close to 5pm. Andy had arrived slightly before me I think. He was already doing the set-up with Clement by then.
So we started jamming with the song My Redeemer Lives. I tried playing on the keyboard. It took me many tries to get the hang of it. Andy helped by teaching me when exactly to hit the chords. Haha. And even then, I was still lost at times. He said it was a difficult song to start off with. Hoho. Anyway, it wasn't too bad. At least I managed to play something along with the rest of them. There were more than enough vocalists, and since Clement was around to play the drums, I had the chance for once to fool around on the keyboard. =)
We played 2 other songs I prepared - I Could Sing of Your Love Forever and Love You So Much. Then the youths requested to play some other songs - Here I Am to Worship, God of Wonders, Above All and Come, Now Is the Time to Worship. We played and sang till about 8pm because Uncle Henry said that he would be having worship practice with the chinese worship team. Before I left, I apologised to him for jamming until such a late hour as we didn't know he had planned for a practice in the evening. Thank God, he was gracious about the whole thing. :)
Alright, I think I shall stop now. I'm supposed to do marking. Sigh! If there's something I hate about teaching, it's the marking!!! Number ONE dislike on my list! xP

A Pleasant Surprise
Okay, so it was my birthday yesterday. Hoho. My form class had a little surprise for me during recess time.
John came to the staffroom and told me that Jessica had fainted in class. Shocked, I went to class with him, and asked him questions - what actually happened... how she fainted... etc. And then, I saw him smile. So I asked him, "Why are you smiling when Jessica has fainted?" Hoho.
Anyway, the minute he smiled, I just knew that the class had something up their sleeves. The door to the classroom opened and the first person I saw was Jessica, sitting at Erwin's table. She was smiling at me. Hoho. Then everyone started singing 'happy birthday'. I made a wish and the cake was cut and eaten.
And because everyone had no mood for remedial, I had to cancel it! Haha. OKAY, once CNY is over, it'll be EL remedial every Thursday -all the way-! No more 'but's! Hoohoo.
Anyway, many thanks to Candice, Melody, Pit Kun and my capable monitress, Sherlyn! For the time and effort you've put in. It was really sweet of the 4 of you. =D And to John, my good monitor, who tried his best to fool me with "Jessica's fainted in class". Haha. Thanks to all. It was a truly pleasant surprise.
After school, I met Mag at around 4.30pm in town to shop for sports apparels. I need a tanktop when I play tennis. I bought it at the SportsLink at Far East Plaza. Mag bought me an Edna Mode blouse - 3 sizes larger than what Gina bought for me a couple of months back. Haha. I can finally wear something that has Edna Mode on it! Call me crazy, but I think she's really hilarious. =)
Pikie joined us at around five plus. We met at Takashimaya's Stadium, after which we walked over to the Crystal Jade at Scotts Picnic to have dinner. We ordered quite an amount of food - xiaolongbao, fried pork ribs, sweet and sour chicken, green vegetables, mapo doufu and had rice.
After dinner, we went to SportsLink at Far East Plaza again, where Pikie bought a pair of shoes and Mag saw cheaper Nike visors (I'd wanted to buy one at Stadium, but it was too expensive).
We went home after that, though Mag said she wanted to shop around a little some more.
Well, I'm meeting Gina at 1.30pm later at Queensway to get my tennis racket. We'll be playing tennis at a crazy hour (again) from noon to 2pm tomorrow at Dover. After getting the racket, we're going town to meet Joey for CNY shopping. They'll be going Kris' place for dinner with Uncle William and family, while I'll be having dinner with Cheryl. Not sure if Amy's joining. Hm, I wonder if I should lug my laptop along? Kinda silly to go home and then go back Queensway to meet Gina; school is so near to Queensway. Sigh.
Tomorrow will be another 'crazy' day. Well, better crazy than boring. ;p
May the 2 wishes I made on my birthday come true! Hoho...

Updates... Updates...
Aloha. I haven't blogged for quite a while. It has been a tiring week - so much so that I simply knocked out the minute I reached home. Sometimes I'd wake up at around 10pm to have dinner and finish up some work, or I'd just sleep through the night until the next morning!
Some updates...
Friday (28th)
After school, I met up with Gina and Mag in town. Then we headed down to church via cab. We went to Arrow Connection where I finally bought a new handphone - Nokia 6260. It cost me $500 odd (without line and including GST).
Then we walked to church. There was prayer meeting that night, though Kris wanted to meet some of us earlier to pray. Mag and I didn't join in the prayer because we were waiting for worship practice to start.
Anyway, the prayer meeting started and ended. I was too tired to eat so I went home. Fiddled with my new toy on the bus ride home.
Oh, and my mom went Thailand.
Saturday (29th)
It was a day full of activities. I had tennis with Gina at Dover again from 11am till about 1pm. Then, after bathing, we had instant noodles at her uncle's apartment. Her aunt came over and she started talking to me when she knew I was a teacher. Haha. Very funny.
At around 3 plus, Gina and I took a cab to church for jamming, which was supposed to start at 4pm. By the time the set up was done, it was almost 5pm when we started jamming. I played the drums and tried playing the keyboard a little. Kris' classmate from bible school joined us too after their guitar lesson. He's really good with the guitar.
I left at around 6 plus because had arranged to meet Pei Chin, Siew Hui and some of our students at Marina South for Sherwin's farewell dinner. The whole place was just teeming with people. It was suffocating. Some students had very 'considerately' gone over to the field across to puff. After all, there were teachers around. Hoho.
Anyway, I thought it was really sweet of them to have this dinner for Sherwin. After their 4 years together, I can sort of understand how they feel. Seriously, once this batch of Sec 5s graduate at the end of 2005, I myself am going to miss all of them. I've taught most of them for at least 2 years since 2001. Oh well. I don't want to think about that for the moment. I'll just focus on their O-level first.
Back to the dinner. It was a Korean steamboat buffet (very much like Seoul Garden). There were lots of cooked food as well. I ate till I nearly burst. They bought cakes too and took a lot of pictures with Sherwin. Ezhaq cried. Sherwin also gave a speech to thank his friends and teachers.
At around 10 plus, everyone left for their own respective programmes. Siew Hui, Pit Kun and I shared a cab home. On our way to Pit Kun's place, someone called her to say that Ezhaq lost his camera. I called Pei Chin and asked if she was still waiting for her cab at the buffet place. She said she was in the cab already but offered to go back to where we were sitting for dinner to check. She called back to say she couldn't find the camera. A while later, she messaged to say someone had found his camera - Ezhaq had left it in the cab.
After the cab dropped Pit Kun off at her place, my place was the next destination. The minute I reached home, I washed up and just zonked out in bed.
Sunday (30th)
I woke up rather late and had to rush down to church in cab. Thankfully, I was slightly late. ;o The worship service was good - was rather ministered. Cried like don't-know-what. Heh. After that, we had lunch and went to look for a cover for my handphone. We went to AMK Central to look for one, but apparently, they don't sell it at all. Joey collected her contact lens. We bought some VCDs too. Then we took a cab to Coronation Plaza, bought junks and went to her place. We watched The Italian Job, which was a rather slow action-packed movie.
Oh, and I spoke to Pit Kun's mother on the phone for a while. I was telling her that the school had indeed allowed some of the pupils to send Sherwin off at the airport on Monday morning. She sounded okay with the whole idea after my explanation. I left at around six plus to go home for dinner. My dad had cooked fried bee hoon. It wasn't too bad, just a little plain, nothing the bottle of pepper couldn't handle. Haha.
Monday (31st)
Some pupils didn't come to school - they'd gone to send Sherwin off at the airport. I conducted lessons as usual. Mondays being the most heavily packed day of the week for me, I was thus in an irritable mood. After the afternoon assembly, I went to the canteen to get some lunch. No more food left! I could only buy a chicken bun instead. How pathetic. After that, there was CPA meeting for the Sec 4 teachers. After that, I rushed down for house practice. Apparently, my services were not needed, so I went back to the staffroom to do my paper work. Couldn't do much really because I was really tired. Eventually went home and zonked out again in bed. Oh, and my mom came back from Thailand in the evening.
Today's schedule was slightly better. I was a little bonkers during English lesson with 5B. Don't know why. Perhaps because it was nearing the end of the school curriculum hours. Hoho. They were rather noisy too today.
After school, I went for Detention Class duty at 2H. The state of the classroom was absolutely appalling. I had to ask a few of the pupils to pick up some of the litter before the servants came to clear it away. Melody and Pit Kun came by to do Maths. After that, at around 5pm, I came home... and I've been online eversince.
It's a long blog. I'm signing off.
GOOD NIGHT!
